The Corporate Travel Manifesto is a statement of opinions created by a group of Corporate Travel Managers who believe key aspects of managed travel are broken and that major innovation is needed to keep up with best practices in other industries. The Manifesto proposes Seven Key Tenets—principles held true by members of our profession—that reflect basic truths about the kind of change that is necessary for our companies and employees to purchase travel effectively in today's world.

Throughout this project, we have carefully avoided reference to specific solutions or suppliers, and instead focused on a high level roadmap for moving the industry forward. The current situation is nobody's fault, and we all need to look forward. With this in mind, we believe that technology providers and suppliers across the industry who follow the manifesto's roadmap will profit by empowering our companies and travelers to purchase and manage travel more effectively.
